Pasadena, City of the Roses

Pasadena is probably most famous for the annual Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl Game. The city is also home to Caltech, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the Art Center School of Design. Several multi-national companies are also headquartered in the area. Pasadena is located just 15 minutes from downtown Los Angeles , at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains . Close by are extensive hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. Within about an hour's drive, one can be skiing in the nearby mountains or swimming at the beach. Pasadena's " Old Town ", popular shops and world class restaurants blend comfortably with beautiful tree-lined streets, distinctive neighborhoods, historic buildings and a vibrant cultural scene. The community is further enhanced with beautifully landscaped parks and golf courses.

Local government is progressive and extends unmatched customer service in an environment of sound fiscal management. Our community is composed of older, well established homes and estates; many were designed by noted architects--Green and Green, Paul Williams, Wallace Neff, Reginald Johnson, Marston Van Pelt., Myron Hunt. The city has its our own symphony orchestra, Pasadena Playhouse and the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. The Norton Simon Museum , Pacific Asia Museum and the Green and Green designed Gamble House are located here.
